“It aims to impart knowledge among the youth about nuclear science and inculcate in them that there is this particular branch of science,” said Andrada adding that nuclear science deals with radioactive materials which may have beneficial and harmful effects.
DOST Regional Director Elsa Chan, in a letter said, the competition is in line with the celebration of the 40th Atomic Energy Week with the theme, “Nuclear Science Technology and Innovation: Engine for Growth and Development.”
Chan said the activities aim to develop the interest of the youth in nuclear science and enhance awareness and understanding on nuclear science and technology and its beneficial applications. (ANL/VHS-PIA 1, Pangasinan)
