URDANETA CITY — Pangasinan fifth district Representative Marcos Cojuangco is contemplating on running for city mayor in the 2010 elections.
In the process, Cojuangco will swap positions with Urdaneta City Mayor Amadeo Perez Jr. (his political mentor). Both of them are currently on their third term.

“It’s a distinct possibility,” the lawmaker said.
Cojuangco and wife Carmen, mayor of Sison town, live at the compound of the family owned Northern Cement plant in Sison.
His district office is situated at the residential compound of Perez in Barangay San Vicente, this city.
The legislator said he sleeps there whenever he has engagements at the southern towns of Pangasinan’s fifth district instead of going home to Sison town because of the distance.
He said he is already building a house and a nipa hall (where he can meet the local officials and common people) at his 7,000 square meter property in Barangay Cayambanan here.
He also said he will register in Barangay Cayambanan within the next four weeks.(LCMY/Sunnex)
