Kick off for the new Rotary Year 2023 - 2024, in Urdaneta City

Today, July 1st marks the kick off for the new Rotary Year 2023 - 2024. And with that, the three Rotary Clubs in the city of Urdaneta came together for one big cluster community service activity.


They were,
The Rotary Club of Urdaneta
The Rotary Club of Urdaneta East
The Rotary Club of Urdaneta North
This year, the recipient was the Sitio Tabuyoc Elementary School.
Each activity covered and addressed the seven areas of focus of Rotary International.
For the environment, narra seedlings were planted in the alloted area behind the school.
Lectures were held to help address problems such as bullying, cyber scamming and violence against women and children. Speakers from the PNP were invited to give the lecture.
Vitamins, hygiene kits, "buntis kits" slippers, schools supplies and even huge bags of vegetables were distributed to properly identified recipients and residents of the Sitio. Special thanks to Pangasinan AgriPinoy for the vegetables and Eyre Pharma for the vitamins. Likewise to NOPTI for the slippers.
Hot sopas, courtesy of the PNP and Arroz caldo were given to both participants and beneficiaries.
For additional.skills that generate income, the mothers were taught how to make pastilles, from production to costing!
A portable wash sink together with paint and painting materials was also turned over to the principal. Special thanks to Sabado Builders.
While the school faculty was ecstatic and grateful for the blessings, the Rotarians were also thankful for the warm reception and full cooperation of the teachers of Tabuyoc Elementary School and of their barangay Captain.
By close to noon, the recipients walked back to their homes with a wide smile on their faces.
 
The three Rotary Clubs of Cluster 2A are happy for the success of this activity and look forward to the next one.
