The Tropical Storm East of Northern Luzon has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was named "QUIEL".

Coordinates: 18.3°N, 134.8°E
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 105 kph near the center
Gustiness of up to 135 kph
Movement: Forecast to move West at 10 kph
Forecast Positions/Outlook: Friday morning: 1,050 km East of Aparri, Cagayan
Saturday morning: 750 km East of Aparri, Cagayan
Sunday morning: 400 km East of Aparri, Cagayan
No Public Storm Warning Signals Raised

TS "QUIEL" is still too far to directly affect any part of the country.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
