Typhoon "PEDRING" continues to move west northwest and still affecting Western Luzon.

300 km Northwest of Baguio City
Coordinates: 17.8°N, 117.8°E
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center
Gustiness of up to 150 kph
Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 19 kph
Forecast Positions/Outlook: Wednesday afternoon: 500 km Northwest of Baguio City

Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lowered.

Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under Public Storm Warning Signals are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 15 - 25 mm per hour within the 600 km diameter of the typhoon.

Typhoon Pedring will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon and will bring scattered to widespread rains over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today and the hourly updates.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm (NALGAE) was estimated 1400 km East of Northern Luzon is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Resposibility (PAR) within the next 24 hours.
