Gorospe Promises a Supportive City Council



URDANETA CITY- City Vice Mayor Onofre “Bong” Gorospe assured that the Sangguniang Panlungsod of this city will give its all out support to the development agenda City Mayor Amadeo Gregorio “Bobom” Perez IV.


He said this to news men who covered the first session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod last July 5at the Session Hall of the Old City Hall. The agenda was to review the city council’s rules and the creation of various legislative committees.
“There is also a need to review and update resolutions and ordinances passed during the past Sangguniang Panlungsod, whether these were implemented or not,” he said. Gorospe directed the Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlugsod Edilberto Belvis to consolidate the previous resolutions and ordinances, and if needed these will be revised or amended to match with the needs of the present time.
In his bid to have a working city legislature, he directed also the various chairmen of the committees to submit their plans and recommendations to further development agenda n the city.
“The city council’s committees must work for the interest and welfare of the city folk. We are here for public service and to help the city mayor (Bobom) pursue his planned programs and projects,’ he said.
Unlike during the past city council where the fist Monday of the month’s sessions were held at the Old City Hall , Gorospe said that all sessions now will be held at the New City Hall in Anonas village.
He promised also to work on a vibrant executive-legislative relationships.
