We finally found the time to drive to the newly innaugurated Urdaneta Park that not only boasts of the Urdaneta City Hall with the nickname "Malacanang of the North" but also the newly constructed Galleon monument dedicted to Father Andres Urdaneta after whom the city is named after.
Father Urdanetaiwas considered the navigational master that played a crucial role to the success of the Manila-Acapulco galleon trade route. The monument includes artwork of no less than four national artists.
