Roadside Assistance for the Holy Week

Petron marks 23rd year of Lakbay Alalay

Petron service stations nationwide will offer free service check-ups to help motorists prepare for their Holy Week travel, from March 1 to April 12, as part of its Petron Lakbay Alalay motorist assistance program.  Now on its 23rd year, this will be the largest Petron Lakbay Alalay ever, with 88 Petron stations participating nationwide.

For the first time, Petron has expanded the Lakbay Alalay beyond Luzon, with 13 stations in the Visayas and 10 stations in Mindanao adding to the 40 Metro Manila stations, 14 Northern Luzon stations, and 10 South Luzon stations offering free service check-ups.

Participating Petron stations are now offering free service checks on tire pressure, oil and radiator water level, and brakes inspection.  Motorists are encouraged to avail of the free service checks to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy for worry-free travel.During Holy Week, Petron Lakbay Alalay will offer free roadside assistance inside the major tollways including the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Star Tollway, and Coastal Road.

On April 8-9 and then on April 11-12, Petron Lakbay Alalay teams will offer free minor car repairs, first aid, emergency phone calls, radiator water, and Treats bottled water. Radio traffic reports courtesy of Petron will also keep motorists informed about driving conditions.

Petron Lakbay Alalay has become an annual practice for Petron employees during the Lenten break and is the longest-running motorist assistance program in the country. Petron employee-volunteers have participated in the activity for 23 years now as a form of “Volunteerism in Action.” This pioneering program has inspired similar activities, and is now being replicated by leading automotive and oil companies, as well as government agencies.
