Come-backing typhoon Quinta brings heavy rains in Pangasinan

We didn't even know that there was a typhoon. Hmmm, that's because there hasn't been that much time even to watch TV. The demands of work has been required a lot of dedication. I was just surprised that these sudden heavy rains were brought about by the typhoon Quinta.

More on Quinta:

DAGUPAN CITY, Nov. 10 — Hundreds of students and employees here were stranded as a result of heavy rains, spawned by typhoon Quinta which reportedly turned back after it already exited from the country’s area of responsibility.

It was the first heavy rains noted in Pangasinan in weeks after a long dry period.

Those stranded did not immediately get their ride towards their respective homes because passenger jeepneys were scarce as a result of the heavy rains.

Many of them were caught flat-footed by the heavy rains which started Sunday night but calmed down early morning, then resumed towards noon and has not stopped.

Members of the Public Order and Safety Office here stayed on their post despite the heavy rains to untangle traffic bottleneck.

Weathermen reported that typhoon Quinta is now located west of Dagupan City or in the province of Zambales, moving at a slow 45 kilometers per hour.

Although rains are continuing, officials led by Acting Mayor Belen Fernandez, are confident that there will be no flash floods in any low-lying areas of Pangasinan.

However in Sta. Barbara town, officials and the police are keenly watching the rise of water of the Sinocalan River to where the Tagamusing River in Binalonan town drains its water.
