Congratulations! Truly there are a lot of great minds in Pangasinan. I would like to share with readers that Urdaneta City had its share of board exam TOPnotchers in recent years:

2003:
Engr. Vernon Francis Albert R. Guillermo
FIRST PLACE, ECE Licensure Exams November 2003
College: SLU, Baguio City - Cum Laude
High School: Divine Word College of Urdaneta
Elementary: Our Lady of the Lilies Academy Urdaneta

2004:
Engr. Orlando Feliciano
FIRST PLACE, ECE Licensure Exams November 2004
College: SLU, Baguio City - Cum Laude
High School: Urdaneta City National High School
Elementary: Urdaneta 1 Central School

I was a classmate of Engr. Guillermo in SLU and I’m also from Urdaneta. I believe they were given recognition on broadsheets containing the exam results, DOST website, SLU website & by their high schools in the form of banners all over Urdaneta but NOT from local/provincial media like the Sunday Punch. I find this a little disappointing and unfair to those two extremely intelligent guys. As an Urdanetan, I’m very proud of them.

Both First Placers in the Electronics & Communications Engineering Board Exam, Both Saint Louis University Cum Laude graduates, Both Urdanetans.
