Couple nabbed for 'illegal recruitment'

URDANETA CITY -- A couple allegedly involved in illegal recruitment will be spending time together behind bars following their arrest on Saturday.

Urdaneta Police Chief Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspects as Reynaldo and Rosa Delima Borja of Barangay Camantiles in this city.

Macaraeg said the Borjas were arrested in their residence by virtue of warrants of arrest issued by Judges Meliton Emusan and Joven Costales of the Urdaneta City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 47 and Branch 45, respectively. No bail was recommended for the couple's temporary release.

The suspects are being detained at Urdaneta Police Station pending the issuance of commitment orders from the courts. They will be transferred later to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) district jail in the city.

With the arrest of the two, Macaraeg called on Urdaneta residents to report the presence in their areas of suspected wanted persons.

He said people could either call the police hotline or personally report to the police station.

Macaraeg assured the information and identity of the person who who reported to them presence of wanted persons will be confidential. (LCMY/Sunnex)
